Northern Virginia Muay Thai - Thai Boxing Association Test Results
Sterling, VA - On October 10 2012, head Muay Thai instructor Khru Bryan Mossey administered both level one and two Thai boxing tests for the fourth time at the academy. The test was administered to the standards of the United States Thai Boxing Association founded by Ajarn Surachai Sirisute.
Three Muay Thai students were put through this rigorous test. Each Thai boxer must land 60 kicks and 35 knees in each of the three minute rounds while the instructor pushes them to their limit both physically and mentally to simulate the stress and physical demands of an actual fight. There is no difference in the test for each level other than intensity.
Congratulations to Evan Green and Robbie Davey on achieving the rank of level one both at the academy and the US TBA. Congratulations to Krysta Scharlach, on passing her second test and achieving rank of level two at the academy and US TBA. They all demonstrated amazing technique, skill, conditioning, and above all heart.
